Our Story

House of Kings began in April 2015 with a simple observation: good ideas deserved better experiences.

Founded by Naibuka Qarau Jr., (the handsome guy pictured above) House of Kings emerged from a growing interest in something the digital industry in Fiji was missing – the discipline of designing experiences around people, not just designing things for screens.

After returning from Melbourne, where Naibuka completed an intensive User Experience Design course at General Assembly, he set out to build something different.

Not simply another design company.

A company that would think before it made. Question assumptions. Simplify complexity. Design for people. And build things with purpose.

That thinking became the foundation of House of Kings.

We think differently.

Over time, our work grew beyond websites and traditional design.

We began working across brands, digital products, technology and business creation. We discovered that the same thinking used to solve a client’s problem could also be applied to building something of our own.

An idea could become a product.

A product could become a brand.

A brand could become a business.

And a business could grow beyond the people who first imagined it.

That changed how we saw the House.

House of Kings builds houses.

Today, House of Kings is more than a company delivering projects. It is a place where ideas are explored, shaped, built and given room to grow.

Some of those ideas belong to our clients. Others begin within the House.

We build brands, products and businesses from the ground up – bringing together the thinking, design, technology and people needed to make them real.

And when an idea grows into something that deserves its own identity, leadership and direction, we give it the opportunity to stand on its own.

We don’t build brands to keep them under our roof forever.

We build them to stand on their own.

House of Kings is a 100% iTaukei-owned company, founded in Fiji and built with a global outlook.

Our roots are local. Our ambition isn’t limited by geography.

We take the work seriously. Ourselves, not so much.

And after all these years, we still believe the best things begin with a good question.
